Shared Resource How to Shrink the World's Largest Landfill
We've heard “skip the straw.” We know to bring reusable bags with us when we go grocery shopping. But the fact remains that our oceans are currently filled with microplastics and they need to be removed. In the authentic learning unit, students are tasked with developing a solution for removing the microplastics from the garbage patches in our oceans. In the process, they will learn how the plastics made their way into the ocean and present an argument for how to prevent more from accruing.
