Shared Resource Modern-Day Slavery
Slavery still exists in today's society. In this authentic learning unit, students investigate modern-day slavery and compare it with the slavery that existed as part of America's history. They will consider the causes and effects of both historic and modern-day slavery. They will research modern abolitionist movements and compare them with those recorded as part of history. Students will inform others of modern-day slavery, potential impacts at the local and/or state level, and next steps to ensure freedom for all in the future.
